How does Breathwork Therapy work?
Our whole life experience is stored in our body at both a conscious and unconscious level.
ââUsing a connected and conscious breathing technique, (Rebirthing Breathwork) the process oxygenates the body to a level that provides the opportunity for deep relaxation - body, mind and heart. Once the conscious body is in this state, it allows access to our subconscious thoughts, and experiences. It raises personal awareness and enhances your sense of Self. This new awareness leads to releasing whatever is no longer true or serving you, and to find your own conclusions and realisations for change and moving forward.
âBreathwork Therapy is not hypnosis. The simple, safe and respectful breathing technique is something that can easily be learned. It can take the healing process from the mind energy to heart energy. That is where the true healing takes place.
When supported by a professional practitioner to ensure you maintain the process and to remain in a conscious state, it can bring relief, clarity, understanding and new direction in your life.
How can the Breath be so powerful?
More and more research around the world, including Australia, is finally proving what has been known by Breathworkers for decades. It works!
A thesis released by Dr. Elise Carr in Adelaide in 2014 has shown how this technique can and does - change peoples lives for the better through better understanding of the Self by recognising the events, beliefs and patterns from the past that have restricted personal growth.
Breathwork Therapy allows you to to not only by recognise any problems, but also work with you to identify solutions.
Sessions
David primarily works with clients on a One-on-one basis. Each Session is usually approx. 2 hours in duration, with the initial session being 3 hours. The initial session includes additional time for David to get to know more about you and your history, as well as ensuring you understand the simple breathing technique.
Every session is individual and unique as Breathwork is an organic, self generated process. Some sessions can be quite subtle and reflective, while others can be clearing and releasing.
At times it may feel like nothing is happening, yet, the breath process is always working at some level. Some sessions are very clear in their outcome while in others you may feel and experience the results over a period of time.
You may have a physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual experience during your session (usually a combination of a few of these).
By the end of each Session, you may have experienced anything from just a great relaxation, to finding a life-changing issue! You just never know where each session will take you!
Sessions are currently charged at $160.00 per 2-3 hour session.
